Early Reader Chapter Book series: Oakwoods
They’re in the print shop! I should receive the books just prior to the Midwest Parent Educator’s Conference April 4th & 5th. If you’re going, stop by and be one of the first to get these for your beginning readers.
Each book is an adventure with an unsung animal hero who lives Oakwoods—the woods near Bandana Acres. They’re beautifully illustrated in full color by Claudia Gadotti and have an easy to read font, a glossary of newer words, a What If? section for reading comprehension and application to real life, and a Did You Know? section with facts about the main animal.
Check each story out on my website! Preorder, if you like. I’ll send them as soon as I receive them.

Encouraging Sensitivity in Children
Sensitivity Defined
Carefully using my senses so I can better respond to the people and situations in my life.
Did your children trade Valentine’s Day cards or gifts? Why not encourage siblings and friends, young and old, with praises all year? Who wouldn’t brighten if they found a complimentary note in their lunchbox, on the mirror, or the front of the refrigerator?

Overcoming the Bitterness of War
We’ve finished the rough draft and sent it to our editor. After making the adjustments, we’ll send it to our interior designer. The cover designer is working on two options for us to choose from. I may send out these in a special email to get your vote for it. Ultimately, it’s Maria’s decision, but I’m sure she would appreciate your input.
