Oakwoods: My New Series Launches April 4, 2025! Plus, Author Valerie Ellis.
Usually, my first blog is my Author Update. But, since Valerie recommended Easter books, I thought it best to feature her earlier. Hopefully, you’ll have time to browse the list and purchase a book (or books) for your kids for Easter.

Early Reader Chapter Book series: Oakwoods
They’re in the print shop! I should receive the books just prior to the Midwest Parent Educator’s Conference April 4th & 5th. If you’re going, stop by and be one of the first to get these for your beginning readers.
Each book is an adventure with an unsung animal hero who lives Oakwoods—the woods near Bandana Acres. They’re beautifully illustrated in full color by Claudia Gadotti and have an easy to read font, a glossary of newer words, a What If? section for reading comprehension and application to real life, and a Did You Know? section with facts about the main animal.
