Master Craftsman: Eric Hollenbeck
I enjoyed the rare privilege of interviewing Eric Hollenbeck, one of the few people in the world with knowledge of woodworking tools and techniques dating back to 1866. As a historical fiction author, authentic research is of critical importance to the story. Thank you, Eric, for sharing with us!
Emeline - Big Decisions Is Finally Underway
Because we’ve been working on houses for the last year, my writing has been taking a back seat. However, I’m pleased and excited to tell you that I’m in the Writing Groove, at last. To keep me accountable and make this next book the very best I can, I’m thrilled to have been accepted by The History Quill Group Coaching Programme which is based in London. Each month I’ll be submitting 1,000-5,000 words for critique and learning from two others I will critique as well. Additionally, we have lessons each month, Q&A sessions, and more. After three months, I will receive a one-on-one with the Lead Tutor, Louise Hare.
Traits of Compassionate Kids
Traits of Compassionate Kids
The only thing that can overcome a world where bullying, hatred, and just plain meanness is commonplace are COMPASSION. Encourage your kids to put themselves in others’ shoes before they criticize. And, if they have nothing good to say, say nothing at all. Always look for the good and give praise. This is HARD sometimes. It’s a lot easier to find fault. No one is perfect. Stop & think before you speak.
