May Author Update

The last month I’ve been blessed with many wonderful affirmations including:

  • Many sales at the Midwest Parent Educators Conference on top of several great new contacts, some of which I’ll be sharing with you later.

  • A wonderful review on A Journey in a London magazine called Reader’s House. You can read it HERE.

  • A Journey also won the Firebird Book Award in the Young Adult Christian Historical Fiction and Interior Design categories. Pat Rullo interviewed me for her podcast “Speak Up Talk Radio” which will be on over 40 podcast sites for a year! You can listen to our interview HERE. Read the Press Release HERE. (I’ve entered the sequel for the 2nd quarter.)

  • Finding Strength: During the Panic of 1893 is now on Discovery (A Reedsy platform). Click HERE to find buy options including my website shop — or merely UPVOTE it.

Oakwoods

Making progress on the writing of the first book, Pip O’Possum. And, I’m pleased to show you Claudia’s artwork which will be featured on its cover. Very Beatrix Potteresque, don’t you think? I love it.

Young Pip O’Possum’s job is to plant and tend their garden, but he yearns to explore beyond their Oakwoods home — beyond the meadow to the Whispering Pines Forest where his papa is believed to have vanished. With the help of the family friend, Boon (a turkey vulture), he is given permission to explore the meadow and Pip makes a discovery that propels the journey into the dark woods beyond.

And, I’m excited to announce that the cover is in the design process. :)

Pip O’Possum and her five joeys: Max, Leo, Millie, Peony, and Peggy
