The Value of Hard Work

The Value of Hard Work

If nothing else, my husband and I understand that hard work leads to rewards. It’s amazing to me how some of our younger generation don’t. Not saying none do, but why is it so hard to find good employees these days?

We have worked on our latest real estate adventure nearly every single day since before Christmas and have finally finished! The house is sold and we’ll close this month. This is the reason I have not been working on my writing as much, and why I had to miss my last blog. Enjoy the short before and after video below.

Diligence

Character First Education defines diligence as:

The word diligence comes from diligo, a Latin word meaning ‘to love earnestly.’ The more you care about something, the more effort you will put into it.

Diligence is like an investment, which means that what you put into something determines what you will get out of it.

The opposite of diligence is laziness. Lazy students daydream in class, forget their homework, and care little about school. These habits lead to a poor education and a difficult future.

Be diligent, not lazy. Your future depends on it!

Do everything to the very best of your ability.

Nibbler and Captain Make Peace is my early reader that features a hard-working beaver who learns to keep the peace with a fun-loving river otter. Though the theme is about handling anger, you’ll understand more about diligence from Nibbler. Check it out!
