What's It Like To Be A Narrator?

Art

Long hours, low pay… to start, but still an exciting, creative career field. Watch the interview below to find out how Abigail VanTerry narrated her first book, Emeline - A Journey, from her tiny home studio. I was so pleased and impressed with her performance. She put MUCH more into it than just reading: changes in pitch, speed, inflections, accents, singing, etc. It’s a fun listen and available through my website and everywhere you find audiobooks. (One lucky subscriber to my blog will win a free audiobook this month!)

About Abigail VanTerry

Besides being a great narrator, Abigail lives on what she affectionately calls a “Ranchette”, which is five acres of land with a house and many animals: exotic chickens, a goose, a raccoon named Panda, a dog, and a cat. Someday, her husband wants a herd of goats! Abigail is smart, personable, outgoing, honest, and a very giving person. She strives for perfection in her work and, I can only assume, every other aspect of her life. Below are some pictures she agreed to share.

Her husband took this photograph of her and their goose. Doesn’t it look like she’s in a fairytale?
