Creative People Are A Gift
While I have a creative streak myself, I am grateful for the talented CREATIVE friends I’ve made in my writing journey. Featuring Claudia Gadotti and Abigail VanTerry, click “read more” to get the latest updates including one local event this month!
Blog Tour
Emeline - A Journey enjoyed exposure during the June blog tour. For unknown reasons, Amazon had this book on sale and it kept being reduced until it got to its lowest point: $2.35. I even bought one ‘cause I can’t get it printed for that — or even double that. The book gained many great reviews and even saw Amazon best seller #35 in one category and was under #100 for a time. That’s hard to do. (I saved a screen-shot.)
Writing Progress
While slogging through character and plot development, the writing has begun for Emeline - Big Decisions. The first chapter is well underway and nearly completed. Next up is a bit of travel to gain some hands-on experience as part of my research. Thanks for the comments regarding TEEN TROUBLES in a previous post. Your comments are valuable.
Claudia Gadotti, artist
I’m so grateful to have such a talented artist working with me: Claudia Gadotti. I will share her latest completed images of the two boys with those of you who are on my email list. They’re amazing! They bring the story to life for me.
But, here’s one of her sketches for you to print and color. Just click the image.
Abigail VanTerry, narrator
A talented voice artist, Abigail has completed the audiobook for Emeline - A Journey. After a final edit, I will upload it to Findaway Voices who will distribute it everywhere we can find audiobooks. It will also be available in MY SHOP.
I love her voice! She varies it with each character (even the horse), has managed dialects and accents, and even sings! I especially adore her Irish accent.
Even if you’ve already read the book, listen to the audiobook experience. Look for it later this month.
Here’s a small sample:
July 24th - Kid’s Fest, Gladstone, MO
I will exhibit at this event where I hope to meet new contacts and get some books into the hands of kids. That’s the goal, after all. Stop by if you’re in the area.
The event is brief: only from 9:00am - 1:00pm. Lots of fun for the kids!

Journaling
Journaling is a great way to get to know yourself and process thoughts. Check it out if you have tween-teens, or even for yourself. With writing prompts, colorful pages, and all illustrations from Emeline - A Journey not included in the novel, My Journal is only available in My Shop. It is highly recommended by the bloggers in the recent blog tour.
